Water Supply And Conveyance
ERO has a long history of providing strategic support and environmental permitting for the development of large water projects in Colorado. In doing so, we have developed an unparalleled reputation for providing sound expertise for navigating the regulatory and permitting process for new and existing reservoirs and water conveyance systems. From innovative approaches to permitting such as the Prairie Waters project, to complex Section 404 permitting, ERO knows how to assist municipalities and special districts with their water development and resiliency projects. ERO has provided pre-National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and feasibility support, as well as serving as the prime consultant for developing environmental impact statements and environmental assessments.
ERO helps clients avoid, minimize, and mitigate impacts on water resources and water-dependent ecosystems, navigate complex permitting processes, and address a variety of environmental issues associated with water supply projects. ERO can assemble a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide concise and justifiable environmental resource evaluations to successfully implement varied water-related projects. ERO also has in-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations that may affect permitting and construction time frames for projects and can help Clients develop best approaches to streamline the permitting process. This work includes having a detailed understanding of the recently enacted Colorado State Dredge and Fill Program, as ERO was part of the small stakeholder group that was formed to guide the state in developing the program, as well as advising the state on the regulations for mitigation.
Our clients include federal, state, and local governments; irrigation and water districts; residential developers; and law firms.
