OIL & GAS

ERO assists oil and gas operators with projects related to seismic exploration, reclamation of oil and gas wells, and Applications for Permits to Drill (APD) for well pads and associated pipelines and facilities. ERO provides environmental regulatory compliance for APDs for projects on both fee and split estates and has extensive experience navigating the regulatory process with federal land managing agencies such as the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) Department of Energy (DOE) and Lands Division, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and U.S. Forest Service. ERO’s services for APDs include National Environmental Policy Act impact assessments, cultural and natural resource surveys, avoidance staking and monitoring, construction management, environmental site assessments, and site characterizations.

ERO guides oil and gas operators throughout the environmental compliance process to ensure that best management practices for natural and cultural resources are accounted for. ERO has extensive experience working with species specific to the San Juan Basin, including the New Mexico jumping mouse and the Mesa Verde cactus. We have expertise working with the SUIT DOE, Lands Division, Cultural Preservation Department, and Tribal Historic Preservation Officer (THPO). Our strengths are our staff’s individual expertise and accessibility, which allows for quality results and responsiveness.

Areas of Experience:

  • Colorado’s Wattenberg Field of the Denver-Julesburg Basin
  • Piceance Basin
