ERO completed an environmental assessment (EA) associated with a Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) for the lesser prairie chicken in five states to assist the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and oil and gas participants. In addition to analyzing the impacts of the CCAA on natural, cultural, and socioeconomic resources within the covered area, the EA was used to inform the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) Conference Report and Statement of Findings. ERO acted as a third-party contractor for the USFWS with a very short and critical schedule.
