Wendy Hodges joined ERO in 2006 as a GIS Specialist. Her software skills include Microsoft Office, and ESRI ArcGIS suite of tools (8.x and 9.x platforms), specifically for applications of natural resource management, and AutoCAD. Wendy is also knowledgeable in habitat and site location suitability modeling, viewshed analysis, and hazard modeling, and has extensive experience using GPS equipment. SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE Geographic Information Systems. Wendy uses GIS as a support tool to create, analyze, and map geospatial data. She has provided mapping and analytical support for local and international field projects administered by the Denver Zoological Foundation. In compliance with ESRI software grant guidelines, Wendy compiled the Foundation’s annual report detailing the use of GIS and completed a successful grant request for maintenance fees for existing software. NEPA Compliance. Wendy provides map production and impact analyses in support of environmental and natural resource planning projects and impact assessments. She is able to digitize and analyze field data for environmental impact statements, environmental site assessments, open space and trail master plans, biological assessments, wetland permitting, and natural resource assessments. Threatened and Endangered Species. Wendy has identified, integrated, and analyzed spatial data that she then used to develop maps that promoted conservation initiatives for threatened species in the Southern Prairie region of the United States. She has performed home range analyses and mapped camera trap sites, survey transects, and movement patterns for various species of concern.
