Sadie Russo is a natural resource specialist and has been with ERO since 2000. She spent four years as a GIS specialist before transitioning to the Natural Resource group. She has experience with Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Clean Water Act (CWA) compliance, has participated in conducting site assessments for threatened and endangered species, and has amended habitat conservation plans. She has also assisted in acquiring U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 Permits under the CWA, and has conducted wetland delineations for various projects. Her project experience includes road and trail realignments, pipeline construction, housing developments, and reservoir construction. SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE Threatened and Endangered Species. Sadie has conducted site assessments and assisted with surveys for a variety of threatened, endangered (T&E), and federally listed species including Preble’s meadow jumping mouse, Colorado butterfly plant, and Utes ladies’-tresses orchid. Environmental Permitting. Sadie has assisted with Section 404 compliance under the CWA. She has performed wetland delineations, written delineation reports, and conducted wetland monitoring. Projects include parks and trails construction, housing developments, and road realignments. Sadie also has assisted clients with obtaining categorical exclusions for projects with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Environmental Resource Assessments. Sadie has performed environmental assessments for impacts to wetlands, wildlife, water, vegetation, migratory birds, and other resources. She has developed a potential bird-aircraft strike hazard analysis GIS model for proposed reservoirs. In addition, she has assisted a client in establishing environmental construction constraints based on wetlands, cultural resources, and multiple sensitive species in several jurisdictions within the project area. |
