Moneka Worah is a natural resource specialist with experience in wetland delineations,natural resources assessments, and threatened and endangered species surveys for road construction, residential developments, and drainage improvement projects. She also has experience in Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting and annual monitoring for mitigation projects. Moneka works closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE Threatened and Endangered Species. Moneka has conducted Preble’s meadow jumping mouse (Preble’s) presence/absence surveys and habitat evaluations. She has experience handling Preble’s in the field and documenting all relevant data. She is certified by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct field investigations for Preble’s and Ute ladies'-tresses orchid. Environmental Resource Assessments. Moneka has experience assisting residential developers and private landowners with assessments of natural resource issues that may affect development of their land. She identifies wetlands, threatened and endangered species habitat, important wildlife habitat and movement corridors, and other natural resource issues that may hinder development. After identifying natural resource issues, Moneka can provide information on the jurisdictional status of wetlands, delineate wetlands, assist with Section 404 permitting, and obtain threatened and endangered species clearance or recommend surveys. Environmental Permitting. Moneka has conducted wetland delineations along the Colorado Front Range and assisted clients with obtaining both Section 404 Nationwide and Individual Permits. She has also monitored numerous wetland mitigation projects, and conducted wetland delineations for large NEPA projects. |
