Courtney Sockwell has six years of experience in the environmental field, working on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); site characterization and monitoring; surface and subsurface soil and ground water investigations; contamination excavation; remediation system design, installation, and operation; and solid and hazardous waste management.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Courtney has completed numerous Phase I ESAs throughout Colorado and Texas for agricultural, residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Clients have included city and county agencies, developers, lending institutions, and commercial and industrial businesses.

Site Characterization/Remediation. Courtney has conducted dozens of Phase II ESAs to determine type and extent of soil and or ground water contamination for sites contaminated with petroleum or chlorinated hydrocarbons, metals, pesticides or herbicides. He is familiar with construction and operation of various remediation systems, including air sparge, soil vapor extraction, chemical injection, and ground water recovery and treatment.

Petroleum Storage Tank Management. Courtney has investigated underground storage tanks, and has conducted site assessments, closures, removals and cleanups. He has also prepared Site Characterization Reports, Corrective Action Plans, and monitoring reports for state review and approval.
