Brian Olmsted is a geologist with four years of environmental consulting experience on projects ranging from mining-related impact studies to petroleum and chlorinated solvent impacted soil and ground water site characterizations. He has conducted Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, site characterization and monitoring, contamination excavations, surface and subsurface soil and ground water investigations, and solid and hazardous waste management. Brian has been responsible for environmental sampling, field management, data validation, and report preparation. SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE Site Characterization. Brian has conducted numerous Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to determine type and extent of soil and ground water contamination for sites contaminated with petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons, and metals. His duties include work plan preparation, historical document review, environmental sampling of soil and ground water, coordination and oversight of subcontractors, and report preparation. Environmental Sampling. As an environmental sampler, Brian has conducted environmental sampling of soil, sediment, surface water, and ground water. Projects have included petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbon contaminated groundwater monitoring, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, and remedial systems maintenance and monitoring. |
